Sculpture "Vortex"

"Vortex" symbolizes an energy running between heaven and earth. The surrounding environment is mapped on the spiral surface of the sculpture. The artist imagined that the reflective mirror of the work could accommodate all things in the world and send the image into the sky with a powerful gesture. The surface of "Vortex" is irregular. It extends to the sky in a spiral upward direction, and its speed changes from fast to slow, until it freezes.

The most normal movement in nature tends to take on the form of spiral (more accurately, spiral surface). People can find the shadow of spiral in general natural forms such as bones, trees and plants, which is particularly evident in seashells. In nature, the shortest distance between two points is not a linear distance. Due to the rotation of the earth and its rotation around the sun, any stationary object on the earth's surface moves in a spiral shape in space. The whole universe, from the Milky Way to the DNA double helix elements that compile human genetic information, is composed of helical structures. Vortex depicts the life form in motion.
